Set of 18th Century Sicilian Apothecary’s Jars and Pharmacy Counter
Set of 18th Century Sicilian Apothecary’s Jars and Pharmacy Counter

Incredibly rare and important find, these large Jars date from around the late 1700s, all have lids and they would have originated from either a Convent or Monastery. The Jars have been turned in wood, they are in their original paint, both inside and out, the names on the jars represent the contents of each.
The set is displayed on a mid 19th Century Chemist’ counter from Booth and Langley, a London Pharmacy, a truly exceptional and very noteworthy display

Condition Report
The jars are in remarkably good condition considering their age, they are sound and the paint work is faded
The counter has the expected signs of use and sadly the marble top is broken, we have 2 options here, we can repair the marble and fix it on to a wooden strengthener as it would be good to keep the original with all its character or we can have a new marble top made this will incur extra cost
The jars are 20” tall and 9” in diameter
The Counter is 41” tall, 61” wide and 26” deep

A Watch Makers Shop Trades Sign, Giant Pocket Watch
A Watch Makers Shop Trades Sign, Giant Pocket Watch

What a great piece to hang outside a Watch or Clock Shop, this one was made in the 1900s, it is totally 3 dimensional, a giant gold watch which can be suspended by its Bow ring, but originally it was fixed from the back on a long screw thread

The clock has been restored, the face has been re enamelled and the glass is also new, so in very good restored condition, it did have a movement inside originally, this has now been replaced with a Quarts movement, so working

A great and very rare decorative piece, wether worn but still looks great, be warned it is large and very heavy
The Sign is 35” high and 22” in diameter and 18.5” deep

French Château de Chasse, Sedan Chair, Original Unrestored Circa 1740
French Château de Chasse, Sedan Chair, Original Unrestored Circa 1740

Very Rare, this piece was discovered neglected in cellar of a Château in the West of France, it was used by the countess allowing her to follow the hunt and be included in all the fun and feasting of the Hunt.
The carriage has a green background paint and coats of arms of the family are painted on the chair.
The coat of arms has a crown, this shows the rank of the family, it has rampant lion in the centre, a female face below with fierce animals (wolves I think) on either side
The chair is still quite a bright and colourful piece, there is a bit of a seat and the door window frame raises and lowers, the chair has some of a calico lining still visible lining the interior and it has a leather studded roof and the door is closed with a Blacksmith made Lock.
This piece has been left as found, it has not been tampered with in any way, just gently brushed out to get rid of the dust, a museum piece ready to be restored
The chair is 66” tall, 29” wide and 35” deep

19th Century Indonesian Carved Teak Gazebo with Arched Panels
19th Century Indonesian Carved Teak Gazebo with Arched Panels

The gazebo is made up with 12 of these teak panels, they have a heavily carved Arch at the top, on solid upright posts, the panels show no signs of ever having been painted, some of the wood does seem too have been oiled, but it is all very dry now and could so with feeding, there are 8 of the more enclosed panels and 4 other open panels.

Each panel is 116” tall, and 44” wide, they are all carved at the top, 8 have slatted infill at the bottom, the other 4 are open, like doorways

These very large and heavy panels came from a structure like a Gazebo, there is a photocopy of an old drawing of the Gazebo, but no more detail than that.

The roof is flat at the edges with decorative fretwork borders, it then goes into a pitched roof at the centre with a pyramid like shape that sits on the top. When the roof is laid out on the ground it is 176” in diameter
As to condition, the panels are very heavy and on the whole sound, there are minor losses to the carved decoration but nothing serious
The Gazebo comes with iron bolts but the pieces fit very well when stood together, so I think a competent DIYer could remake the Gazebo complete with very little new wood required

176” in Diameter, 116” tall at the sides going into a pitched roof at the centre

I can arrange delivery of this Gazebo, the cost will vary according to location

An Outstanding, Large Cast Original Victorian Garden Iron Urn
An Outstanding, Large Cast Original Victorian Garden Iron Urn

This Large and imposing Cast Iron Urn probably came from a Victorian Cemetery, it has been cherished in a London Garden for over 70 years, no wonder when you can see the superb patina of the piece
The urn has survived with its pineapple topped lid, it has huge Rams Horn handles on either side while the front and back have death scenes, with Putti and a falling soul
The original finish of the urn is not obvious, I can see some red substance next to the iron ( red oxide perhaps) and the general overall colour is very ages and weatherworn green which changes in colour when it is wet

This is a very heavy piece it is not easy to move and may require some strong help or lifting equipment to place it in your garden

We Give Free Delivery to Mainland England & Wales,
Delivery times vary according to your location usually 7 to 28 days
We deliver all items to our couriers main depot, usually near the end of each week, they will then contact you to agree with you a delivery slot, they are very helpful and will try to meet your personal requirements. If you agree a delivery slot and fail to receive the item without agreeing an alternative ie leave with a neighbour or in an outbuilding the courier will charge to send the item out for a second attempt

Deliveries are on the basis of one man delivering to the kerbside. In practice the driver is always willing to help place the furniture in the house if the access is at ground level and it is a one man lift, heavy items and difficult to access locations will require you to supply assistance to the delivery driver.
However it is very important that you let us know of any difficulties getting the furniture into the property. It is imperative that we are notified in advance of stairs or other restrictions to access.

We only operate an online store and regrettably viewing in person is not an option. In the event you wish to return an item you should contact us immediately. We will then arrange for you to return it to us at the buyer's expense, the item must be returned back with us in the same condition as it left and a full refund will be issued
Please note that items collected by parties other than our own appointed courier will not qualify for our returns policy
For world wide shipping we offer help and assistance to your own courier, or we can recommend couriers to most parts of the world

Art Deco Outfitter’s Department Store Shop Display Shelf Units
Art Deco Outfitter’s Department Store Shop Display Shelf Units

These are very impressive pieces, they are 2 freestanding units which originate from a stylish department store
The tall racks each have 3 wire mesh shelves, the 2 higher shelves support 2 hanging rails underneath and both have a striking Crown cornice at the top

The metal racks are guided, much of which has now worn away leaving a look of shabby opulence, otherwise they are in good sound condition

The Racks can be dismantled to aid transportation and have provision to be fixed to wall for ultimate rigidity and would work well both in Shop or at Home in your dressing room
When assembled the Shelf is 89” tall, 41” wide and 17” deep
